USE CASES
Fire protection
The UMDS autonomously enables a significantly increased frequency of fire protection relevant checks and data collections with minimal additional costs per check. It can realize a permanent aerial fire protection monitoring using several multicopters. This will save personnel resources, in particular for cost-intense weekend attendance.
Industrial Inspection
The UMDS autonomously signals potential hazards based on thermographic data. The data are checked in the GDI headquarters and can be transferred directly to the responsible employees or emergency authorities -even via smartphone app on request.
Anti-theft protection
The UMDS ensures continuous monitoring of the entire area by multicopters using RGB and thermal cameras. Person detection can be realized at night, as well as in other conditions with poor visibility. Furthermore, additional equipment of the multicopter fleet, such as LED headlights, can be used to deter intruders.
Compatible with existing security systems
In addition to the existing security system on the site, safety sensors on windows and gates can be used as triggers to initiate immediate inspection of the affected objects in the event of an alarm. Through permanent video recording, the drone increases the chances of identifying intruders and enables a successful criminal investigation of the security authorities.
Mapping and volume calculation
Using photogrammetry, automated and extremely accurate volume calculations, inventories of the stored waste piles and geographic measurement of the terrain can be easily realized on a daily basis from the image data collected by the multicopter.

This leads to savings in personnel and contributes significantly to the efficiency of the landfill’s utilization. Provisions and rearrangement costs can thus be minimized or even completely avoided.
